Our Philosophy
At Tiny Wonders, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to be confident, imaginative and daring while having fun.
With a future proof foundation for children’s learning through play-based activities where we understand that every child is unique and have their own strengths, abilities, and ways of learning. Their wants and needs are met, and they are given the opportunity to explore, revisit and experiment in a supported unhurried environment. Our philosophy, planning and assessment practice is informed by Te Ara Whaanui, early learning curriculum framework.
We believe in the positive development of all children at Tiny Wonders, working together in partnership with family/whanau and our community is vital. Family is at the core of Tiny Wonders, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. We believe in celebrating cultural diversity and supporting children to enable them to understand and acknowledge theirs and others differences while building positive reciprocal relationships.
We believe in honesty, respect, trust and laughter while leading by example through positive role modelling.
Respect at Tiny Wonders means valuing each individual with compassion and empathy.
Happiness at Tiny Wonders means filling our days with hugs, laughter and appreciation. We foster a joyful atmosphere where smiles are contagious, and every child feels valued and loved.
Honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi is an important part of who we are, and we strive in working together in partnership in protecting the culture of New Zealand through practicing and acknowledging tikanga and te reo Maori in our everyday practice.
Our team of educators at Tiny Wonders are committed to extending our knowledge through regular professional development so we can provide the best learning environment for the children in our centre.
